Doesn't scan sort of a textbook

My economics survey course is using this as a supplemental textbook, and that i will say that while not a doubt it is the most attention-grabbing nonfiction text I've ever been assigned.
The book primarily consists of concerning thirty 4-8 page articles on numerous real-world topics, starting from the plain (rent controls, minimum wage) to the exotic (prostitution, international warming). In every case, the authors justify how you'll apply economic principles to those issue at hand--and typically return to a conclusion that may have shocked you before you scan the article, however currently appears as obvious because the color of the sky. plenty of the articles are U.S.-centric, however the authors draw on examples from alternative countries where acceptable.
Our teacher has been assigning a reading each week or therefore, however I typically found myself continuing 3 or four articles past the assigned one as a result of the topics were therefore attention-grabbing. If your teacher assigned this text, count yourself lucky; if you are looking for a few freelance reading, take an in depth check up on this book.
